Financeware.com To Hold Monte Carlo Simulation Conference
RICHMOND,
Va., September 6, 2000 – Financeware.com (www.financeware.com),
the industry leader in Web-based Monte Carlo and probability analysis, today
announced that it will hold a Monte Carlo simulation conference on October 27 in
Las Vegas. The one-day conference
is structured to help financial advisors, investment professionals and financial
educators better understand Monte Carlo simulation and probability analysis and
learn how to use these in their practices.
“Monte
Carlo simulation is an important, relatively new and little understood planning
method in the financial planning industry,” said Bill McVay, executive vice
president of business development for Financeware.com.
“Monte Carlo is a necessary tool for financial planners who want to
remain competitive, yet very little training has been offered to help advisors
and educators better understand its uses and applications.”
Industry
leaders who have pioneered the use of various financial methodologies will teach
the conference. The seminar will
focus on incorporating Monte Carlo simulation and probability analysis into the
asset allocation process and how to use these methodologies to build a
successful financial practice. The
conference will also cover how to explain Monte Carlo simulation results to
clients, how to create estimated expected returns, risks and calculations for
the asset allocation decision and mortality -- how to simulate it and why this
is useful in financial planning.
“Monte
Carlo simulation allows advisors to predict thousands of possible outcomes for a
given financial plan from best case to worst case and everything in between,”
said Rex Macey, director of product development for Financeware.com.
“Monte Carlo is a powerful calculation method that analyzes the
probability of clients meeting their long-term financial goals.
It helps answer the all-important question that clients ask their
advisors, “Will I run out of money?””
The
Financeware.com Monte Carlo conference will be held at the New York New York
Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Registration
costs are $250 before October 1 or $295 thereafter.
