FinancialPlanAuditors.com Broadens Strategy; Changes Company Name To
Financeware.com
RICHMOND,
Va., March
1, 2000 – FinancialPlanAuditors.com
today announced that the company has changed its name to Financeware.com to
reflect the expanded line of financial planning tools the company will roll out
over the coming months. FinancialPlanAuditors.com (www.financialplanauditors.com),
the first and only financial planning tool that allows investors and financial
advisors to collaborate online to create or modify financial plans, will now
become one of many tools to be offered in the upcoming Financeware.com suite of
applications for professional financial advisors. The functionality of certain
tools in this suite will include performance reporting, style analysis, mutual
fund analysis and portfolio accounting. A
preview of some of the financial planning tools currently available or to be
offered in the near future can be found at www.financeware.com.
“The
need for financial advisors to work efficiently with clients over the Internet
has caused us to broaden our strategy,” said David Loeper, president and CEO
of Financeware.com. “The growing
number and increasing affluence of individual investors is driving the demand
for financial advisor services, and consequently, more sophisticated software
tools. Financeware.com is an
application service provider for the financial advisor community that provides
Web-based solutions for their businesses.”
The
Financeware.com suite of financial planning software will enable financial
advisors to work with their clients over the Internet using sophisticated
planning and analytical tools. This
offers financial advisors a significant competitive advantage because client
expectations relating to both technology and Internet access are growing.
As more and more investors use the Internet, they want the option of
working online with their financial advisor, and this demand will only increase.
Forrester Research estimates that $3 trillion in assets will be managed
online by 2003.
“Financeware.com
will change the way professional financial advisors work,” said Loeper.
“The application service provider (ASP) suite that we are rolling out
over the coming months will greatly increase financial advisors’ productivity
while allowing them to better serve their clients.”
Based in Richmond, Va., Financeware.com is a
privately held company formed to develop and market online financial planning
tools for professional financial advisors and
their clients. Financeware.com’s
first Web-based product, FinancialPlanAuditors.com, has had over three million
hits since its April 1999 launch and more than 5,000 financial advisors are
registered to use the online service.
